SMS Terms

Footing sends one kind of text message: your weekly check-in. This page is the whole arrangement.
Reply STOP to any message and the texts stop. Reply HELP for help. You stay in your pod either way.
The program

How you opt in
When you join a pod you enter your own phone number and confirm it with a one-time code. On that same screen there is an optional, unticked checkbox reading "Text me my weekly check-in." Ticking it is how you consent to the weekly messages.
It is optional. Leave it unticked and you still join the pod, still set your target, and still take part — you check in from your pod page instead of by text. Consent is per pod, and we never treat it as a condition of using Footing.
How you stop
Reply STOP to any Footing message. Your carrier will confirm, and we will not send you another check-in. STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END and QUIT all work the same way.
Stopping the texts does not remove you from your pod and does not delete your account. To do either, email hello@getfooting.io.

Carriers and delivery
Message delivery depends on your mobile carrier and is not guaranteed. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Supported carriers include AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, US Cellular, and others; carrier support can change without notice.
Footing check-ins are sent to United States numbers only.
What we do with your number
Your phone number is used to confirm it is you and to deliver these messages. It is never shown to anyone else in your pod, never sold, and never shared for advertising. The full detail is in our Privacy Policy.
What Footing is not
Footing is an accountability tool. It is not a bank, a financial adviser, or an investment service. It does not connect to your accounts, hold money, or tell you what to do with yours. Every figure in Footing is one you reported yourself.
Changes
If these terms change we will update the date above. Material changes will be disclosed before they take effect.
